THE CBR JOURNAL
The story begins with The CBR Journal.
The “Community Bible Reading Journal” was created as a discipleship tool for one small church in 2012. Almost immediately, the tool began to spread in a viral fashion around the globe.
Through friendship and word of mouth, over 150,000 copies of The CBR Journal were provided to disciples of Jesus in at least 8 countries.
The CBR Journal was highly effective at creating and/or strengthening
a Healthy Bible Reading Discipline in the life of a believer.
SEEING JESUS TOGETHER
ICONICITY (the 501(c)(3) that owned The CBR Journal)
created the first edition of SEEING JESUS TOGETHER for 2022. SEEING JESUS TOGETHER improved upon and added to The CBR Journal. The 2022 version of SEEING JESUS TOGETHER helped disciples SEE JESUS IN SOLITUDE, SEE JESUS WITH ONE ANOTHER,
and SEE JESUS AT THE WEEKLY CHURCH GATHERING.
SJT | SOLITUDE
For 2023, The CBR Journal became SEEING JESUS TOGETHER | SOLITUDE because some disciples and church leaders only need a tool that leads participants into a Healthy Bible Reading Discipline, and because SEEING JESUS TOGETHER | SOLITUDE is a more accurate name for what God has done through The CBR Journal.
SJT | STUDENT
In 2024, we created the first edition of SEEING JESUS TOGETHER | STUDENT. This tool has been designed for disciples who are 14-22 years old but can be used by anyone who is in the earlier stages of developing
Gospel-Focused Spiritual Disciplines.
2024 JOURNALS
In 2024, we created second editions of SEEING JESUS TOGETHER and SJT | SOLITUDE. Once again, we improved upon and added to journals that were already effective. Both journals support a parent’s desire to impart Gospel-Focused Spiritual Disciplines to their children and both journals are designed to work in conjunction with
SEEING JESUS TOGETHER | STUDENT.
SUPPLEMENTAL RESOURCES
We are continually creating complimentary resources (available on our website and through our app) that help disciples effectively use our tools to develop Gospel-Focused Spiritual Disciplines. We also support church leaders, through online coaching and on-site training,
as they utilize our tools in their discipleship strategies.
INTERNATIONAL GROWTH
Through the generosity of our donors, SEEING JESUS TOGETHER is honored to collaborate with leaders around the world who believe that our Journals and Supplemental Resources will be effective in their context.
